Dear Resident,

Welcome to God’s “Rehab With A Heart”. JESUS IS! has been here in Inglis for more than twenty years. Jim and Gloria Adams (affectionately known as Mom and Dad, Brother Jim and Sister Gloria, or Mr. and Mrs. Adams) were called of God to incorporate it in 1984. We have been preaching the gospel, converting the lost, baptizing in the Holy Spirit, healing the sick and ministering deliverance from bondage and bad character traits, since May 1979. Our ministry of rehabilitation for the alcoholics, drug addicts. and other defeated individuals began in 1986.

Since you have been accepted into the program, we believe God has brought you here. You have made a ninety day commitment to our Heavenly Father to receive all that He has for you. We will help and encourage you in any way we can to have a closer walk with Him. We are here to help you help yourself! Prayer and/or counseling are available at all times from members of our staff.

You will get out of the program as much as you put into it. If you participate 100%, you will find new purpose and direction for your life. We have a success rate of 85% for those who really want to change their lifestyle, who voluntarily commit themselves and complete the minimum requirement of ninety days. If you truly want to change your lifestyle you will zealously apply yourself and complete the ninety day commitment.

The eight acres of land that God has provided here is “Holy Ground” . It is surrounded by a “blood line” which is used for purposes of prayer and meditation. This will be explained to you more fully later.

This is a “faith ministry”. We do not charge for the services here. God provides for all our needs and has been doing so for many years. JESUS IS! will be your home for at least 90 days. We ask your cooperation in abiding by all rules and regulations (a copy included in this folder) and caring for the facilities that God uses to change countless lives.

GENERAL INFORMATION LETTER FOR FAMILIES

Thank you for the opportunity to provide information regarding the daily care for residents of the JESUS IS! Ministries, Inc. Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program.

Being supportive through letters, phone calls and visits has immeasurable value in the process of healing. Residents may receive mail at any time during their stay. Visits and phone calls are allowed after the first two weeks. We ask that phone calls be limited to one 5 minute call out and one 5 minute call in. Please call to find out times as they very according to census. Visitation is from 2:00 P.M. till 5:00 P.M. Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday you can leave and return for the Sing-A-Long from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Sunday service starts at 11:00am.The residents need small amounts of cash on a regular basis for store runs we make for them twice a week to replenish hygiene items, stamps or food items not provided by this ministry. This may be obtained by mail in the form of a POSTAL MONEY ORDER made out to the resident and sent to JESUS IS! Ministries, Inc. PO Box 1110, Inglis, FL 34449.

Although we do not charge for room and board, a bare minimum cost estimate to care for their every day needs is approximately $25.00 per person per day, or $750.00 per month compared to private treatment centers that charge over $1,000.00 per day. We are a faith ministry and are not a government funded facility. Funding is provided only through tithes, offerings and donations. Basically, the staff are all unpaid volunteers.

Food that God has so generously provided through giving individuals and businesses is greatly appreciated. We still have the on going need for coffee, sugar, flour, tea, margarine, mayonnaise and syrup. The following items are also needed: laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets, bleach, household cleaning supplies, toilet paper, tissue paper, paper towels, sanitary napkins, furniture polish, air freshener, tooth paste, tooth brushes, combs, hair brushes, clothes pins, shampoo, conditioner, headache and toothache medicine, cough syrup, allergy medication, antacids, laxatives, hydrocortisone cream, insect repellent, cotton balls, hydrogen peroxide, plastic bandages, stamps, notebooks, pens, scrub brushes, brooms, mops, dish towels, wire brushes for cleaning the gas grills and heavy duty door mats.

The Give-Away is a blessing to help with clothing, however men and women’s jeans are one of our greatest clothing needs.

As this ministry grows, utilities, maintenance and miscellaneous expenses are also growing.

The only way that we can receive money for the residents is by Postal Money Order made payable to the resident.
