HISTORY

Jim and Gloria Adams, known affectionately by their Ministry “children” as Dad and Mom, began the Ministry in 1979. That was the year the Adams’ oldest son fell to his death in a work related accident. Jim Adams was not a believer in Jesus when his son died so tragically, but at the funeral, the Lord spoke to him and let him know how real he was. That was the day that, “everything changed”, Gloria said. Jim Adams started serving the Lord with “all his might”, doing anything the Lord asked of him. One of the things the Lord asked him to do was to close his business and donate its building and property to the “work of the Lord”. That same building housed 40 men who come for all over the country to receive help with their addictions.

Let’s back up a little:

Before he passed away in 2005 Dad Adams wrote:

In 1984, it took less than a week for sixteen men to come in off the streets looking for a place to stay. This is a very small town and our home is on a small dusty road off the highway. There was no reason for those men to arrive at our door, but there they were. We had no facilities, so we let them sleep on the floor of our vacated commercial building in their sleeping bags. They all stayed for about a year, then as suddenly as they had come, they all left. We breathed a sigh of relief but it was a short sigh. About three months later, we started to fill back up just as fast as we did the first time. There was a difference though, this time they were all drug addicts and alcoholics.

Over the years the Ministry has grown, and what started as just helping a few people was turning into a whole campus. Today the Ministry property encompasses almost 20 acres of land that includes:

  • Main House
  • Men’s Dormitories
  • Women’s Dormitories
  • Pantry
  • Staff Housing
  • Offices
  • Sanctuary
  • Kitchen Facility
  • Donation Storage Facility
  • Sewing Room
  • Recycling Center

Since Dad Adams went home to be with the Lord, his son and daughter in law, Pastors Jeff & Bunny Adams have stepped up to the task and seen the Ministry through much of it’s growing pains.

Soon to be added are a new log cabin men’s dormitory facility which will house 40 men.

This is not a government agency funded program and we are not a denomination so we have survived all these past 33 years on donations and a lot of faith.

We currently feed at least 80 residents and the volunteer staff that cares for them 3 square meals per day and provide free clothing and beds to the same number. This is a true miracle to achieve each month without any government assistance.

If you would like to be part of that miracle that provides so much hope and renewal to the thousands of families we have helped all across the country please donate now. No amount is too small.

BELIEFS

Statement of Faith

We believe in One God, the Father, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His Son, the prophesied Messiah, and the Holy Spirit which was sent when he returned to the Father. We believe that the King James Version of the Bible is the inspired Word of God, , and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

We believe that salvation comes by faith, faith comes by hearing the Word of God and leads to repentance, forgiveness for ourselves as we forgive others, water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the promised Holy Spirit, indwelling believers, manifesting all the gifts and growing all the fruits while providing wonderful counsel, divine comfort, and guiding into all truth.

We believe in the authority and power of the Name of Jesus for Deliverance and Healing.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and everlasting life as determined by the choices that we make during our lives.

WE TEACH THE FOLLOWING VALUES:

  • Responsibility
  • Hard Work
  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Modesty
  • Chastity
  • Prayer

OUR MISSION

JESUS IS! Ministries has been here in Inglis, since April, 1979, Was incorporated in April, 1984. We have been preaching the Gospel, converting the lost, baptizing in The Holy Spirit, healing the sick, and ministering deliverance since the end of April, 1979. Our ministry of rehabilitation for the alcoholics, drug addicts, and other defeated individuals began in 1986. We did not plan to start the program, we were simply pushed into it.

MINISTRY OF THE GOSPEL.

Both, Jim and Gloria Adams are called as Prophets of God. In addition, Jim is called as a teacher. We do not have a church, but a ministry. We conduct five meetings each week here at the ministry. There are three to four hundred people who attend our services at irregular intervals. The most we have had at any one meeting has been about 125 adults, while the normal attendance is about eighty. We are not pastors; so when someone fails to attend, we do not go looking for them as a pastor would. We feel that it is God’s responsibility to bring those here whom He wants here at any particular time. People are saved, baptized in The Holy Spirit, healed, delivered from bondages and bad character traits, and directed and encouraged to a closer walk with God. Their emotions are healed and families are put back together. All of this takes place because we agree with God and have love and compassion for the down-trodden.

Many of the men and women who have been trained here have gone out, many to other states, and begun their own ministries. These people are operating in the power of The Holy Spirit to meet both, the spiritual, and the physical needs of God’s people. We receive phone calls and letters, continually, telling us what God is doing and asking guidance from The Lord.
